Happy New Year 2021
2020 was a year that we all will all remember. As we do not want to dwell on our past year New England Horsemen’s Council looks forward to beginning a new year competing at our favorite shows. The goal is to get back to some sort of normal while maintaining the health of our families, friends and communities. Hunt Seat Medal Finals Update
Due to the 2020 NEHC Championships date change and the limited number of NEHC Medal qualifying classes/horse shows as a result of COVID, the NEEC has modified the 2020 qualifying criteria in the following ways: All junior NEHC members who are juniors in their last year and have qualified for any previous NEHC Championshipsare invited to compete at the 2020 NEHC Championships. USHJA Feed Aid is Now Live
The USHJA Feed Aid initiative aims to provide aid in purchasing feed for lesson horses as short-term relief for the businesses in our hunter/jumper community who provide lessons to non-boarders and may be suffering financially due to the impact of COVID-19.

Saddle Seat/Western Seat/ Hunt Seat Pleasure Medal Finals
Due to the amount of pleasure shows that have been cancelled and the number of entries we get in these medals there will be no qualifying necessary for the 2020 NEHC Medal Finals in these divisions. We have exhibitors from other states as far as PA involved in these medals and we do not feel there will be enough shows to get these exhibitors qualified. Getting back to “some kind of normal”
The suspension of horse shows affiliated by NEHC is due to expire on May 31st. NEHC is advising all how organizers to still follow their state and local requirements for mass gatherings, sports, and out of state travel.

NEW for 2020 For the 2020 show season NEHC is removing the fee for registering a horse/pony.
Cancelled and Rescheduled Shows
- Blue Ribbon Ventures December 20, 2020 has been cancelled
- Herring Brook December 6, 2020 and December 13, 2020 has been cancelled
- Riverbank December 13, 2020 and February 6, 2021 has been cancelled
- The Pines show for February 6-7 the schedule has changed. All classes will run Saturday
- Claddagh Farm February 14th show has changed dates to February 28, 2021
- Heritage Farm Katonah, NY cancelled for March 12, 2021
- GFF Winter Show has cancelled for March 7, 2021
- Blue Ribbon Venue Show February 28, 2021 has changed location to Westbrook Hunt 319 Pond Meadow Road Westbrook, CT 06498
