NEW ENGLAND HORSEMEN’S COUNCIL

RULE & HOUSEKEEPING CHANGES:

  1. In order to accrue Year-End points for Hunters, a minimum of two over fence classes must be held in a division AS WELL AS under saddle.

 

  • Page 16 Rule F: Each affiliated show must have on its grounds on show day qualified medical personnel with appropriate medical equipment, currently certified or licensed EMT or Paramedic. Physician or pre-hospital trauma nurse that is currently certified or licensed in their profession in the state the competition is held.
  • A farrier must be on the grounds or agree in writing to be “On-Call” for all one-day shows. Multi-day shows require a farrier.
  • A Veterinarian must be on the grounds or agree in writing to be “on call” for all one-day or multi-day shows.
  • A public address system and a recording secretary must be on the grounds for the duration of the show. Ample water facilities, food vendor and sanitary toilet facilities must be on the grounds for the duration of a multi-day show.
  • For one day shows ample water and toilet facilities are to be provided, with food provided for officials.  If no food is being provided for exhibitors for a one-day show, it must be listed on the prize list.  All infractions may be subject to fines.

 

 

  1. NEHC no longer points in Hunter divisions “Modified”. This has been changed to “Low”.
  • Low Adult Hunter Equitation
  • Low Adult Amateur Hunter

 

  1. Walk-Trot Equitation Division 10 & under: No cross entering into Hunter Division is allowed at any show. 37 3 & 3A will now be Walk-Trot Equitation Western Seat & Hunter Pleasure. Please note exhibitors may join the day of the show.

 

  1. Walk-Trot Pleasure Division 10 & under: No cross entering is allowed at any show. 61 3 & 3A will now be Walk-Trot Pleasure Horse or Pony Western Seat & Hunter Pleasure.

 

  1. Children/Adult Amateur Jumper has changed to JUNIOR/Adult Amateur Jumper.
